About the Deutsche Dermatologische Lasergesellschaft (DDL)
The Deutsche Dermatologische Lasergesellschaft (DDL) is an association of dermatologists who have specialised in laser applications and represent a high standard of laser safety. The DDL was founded in Sigmaringen in 1992 and currently has 140 members in Germany and neighbouring countries.
As a professional medical society, the aim of the DDL is to ensure all of their members fulfill certain criteria, notably high standards of expertise and laser safety. The DDL also educates and trains its members in the use of various types of lasers and therapies as well as laser safety.
That way, patients searching for a specialist in this area know they can trust the competence of a DDL-member. In addition, members of the DDL carry out scientific studies to improve existing laser therapies and to examine new indications for laser skin therapy.
