» DDL - Laser Innovation Award 2010

The Deutsche Dermatologische Lasergesellschaft DDL (German Society of Laser Dermatology) established a prize in the domain of Therapy with Laser or IPL-Technology. The prize is endowed with 3000 € and is awarded every year at the DDL’s Annual Meeting.
In Mai 2010 the award ceremony took place within the framework of the DDL’s Annual Meeting at the Laser Trier Congress 2010. In order to apply for the 2010 Innovation Prize the following conditions must be fulfilled:
- Dermatologists from Germany, Switzerland and Austria are entitled to participate.
- Research articles in German or English may be submitted that deal with the topic of laser dermatology therapy or IPL technology used in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
- Articles published as early as 2006, 2007 or 2008 may also be submitted.
- Articles must be submitted in written form and on media in digitalised form to the President of the Deutsche Dermatologische Lasergesellschaft:

- After receipt of the research articles the DDL Executive Board will decide who will receive the award.

Innovation Prize 2008
This year’s DDL Innovation Prize 2008 was awarded to Dr. med. Syrus Karsai for his work: “Treatment of resistant tattoos using a new generation Q-switched ND:YAG laser: Influence of beam profile and spot size on clearance success”.
